- Walden Readywrench is a member of the Once Bitten, Twice Shy Market (OBTS). He didn't come up with the name, but he is a member of the Maycott black market. Fencing stolen goods and selling items both contraband and legitimate and varying prices. In the case of legitimate items, below market value due to how they were acquired.
- Has been approached about smuggling Malcolm Early either off planet or at least in another part of Maycott and away from the Gallows Corner until the Frick murder is settled. Walden would have said no, but the person asking him is Lucrezia Shadowgear of the Hummingbird Girls.
- Currently dating Lucrezia, holding her hand at musical performances, art galleries, and other festivities. It's almost unfair to use one's heart to get what one wants, but Walden is willing to do much to please Lucy and stay on the good side of his Hummingbird customers.
