The name 'Commander' was a derisive nickname from some of the guards given to the Warmech operating in their section. Given the way it, or he, as the voice manifested within the iron shell sounded masculine and it never objected to the label. The Warmech carried itself with authority as it performed its patrol around the Sutter Block, pleasing the nobles as Commander followed its protocols of being efficient and showing little emotion in moving undesirables and never complaining about a lack of appreciation or expecting gratuity for dealing with beggars who slipped into the section. The only complaint was as of recently that the Warmech has begun to look into the scamp, Lord Beckwith's son, Ethan. The Warmech was too focused on its job to understand that sometimes, certain people deserved certain accommodations.
Notes
- 'Commander' is a recently purchased Warmech from the Artificer's Guild by the guard section patrolling the Noble's District, also known as Sutter Hill or Sutter Block by the guard in hopes of building a new force that will protect the nobles from undesirables with little question and little mischief that often follows Human guards.
- Has begun to investigate Ethan Beckwith, a noble's son after a number of minor 'incidents' or breaking and entering, despite being officially ordered to leave Beckwith alone. The Warmech sees only guilt, but is sentient to avoid a direct confrontation at this time.
- Commander has also noted the disappearance of several professional women who have worked in the Sutter Hill area, in a darker twist that the Mech believes is linked to Ethan Beckwith, given some minor clues it has discovered at one of the abduction sites.
