The dorsal crested the water, followed by several barrels held together by cargo netting. Wogel put a hand out, stopping any draw of harpoon or sword as the great figure broke from the ring and swam closer to the ship.

"Looks like the Investor's Bank accepted your terms, Captain," The Dwarf, Jamie Cannonwright noted, a trail of smoke issuing from the end of a cob pipe.

"Aye, alright, two lads climb down. We are due two barrels. Don't mind the front end, she'll-"

"Lighter color, Skipper. That's a he," Jamie said.

"Alright 'he'll' stay calm as long as we only draw two," Captain Wogel looked back at the man, noting some reluctance in trying to take cargo off the back of a shark.

Notes

  • Loan Sharks are specially trained aquatic creatures, kept by the mysterious Investor's Bank to fund various operations. The sharks are capable of moving supplies, often funding, to docks or ships. By either mad science or deep magic, the sharks instinctively know their destination.
  • Typically swim in small schools with other sharks protecting or carrying extra loads for various deliveries. Each shark is capable of making contact with a single client before swimming home.
  • Just as they are capable of bringing money on behalf of the Bank, they are also capable of extracting payment from the Investor Bank's clients. Circling and stalking debtors, waiting for the right time to strike if the clients do not pay an Investor's Bank agent or dump the amount due overboard.
