Planeliner Kingsport
The Planeliner Kingsport is a massive luxury airship that flies between Empire City to Dunlow to Corintha to Otepus and back in a world of massive diesel engines and electrically powered motors compete with the arcane and the divine. Sorcerers, those that can afford it, travel in the luxury of flying ships rather than broomsticks and portals. The Kingsport is part of a fleet of planeliners that are capable of circumnavigating the planet, only requiring a few stops for supplies as part of its journey.
The Kingsport is owned by the International Wagonlit Company, which is headquartered in the ringed city of Atlantis, which sits between Europa and Amerigo and is operated by the Polaris Transpiration Company. Polaris provides the crew, the security, and the amenities for the guests. The interior of the plane includes fine carpeted floor with gilt brass door knobs and stained wooden doors. There is a grained staircase at the center of the liner with upper and lower dining halls, smoking rooms, lounges, a movie theater, and a swimming pool. The vessel is kept aloft by a combination of several massive propellers that are constantly powered by the internal engine deep within the recesses of the ship.
Notes
- What has been quietly hushed up is the number of murders, thefts, and various strange and disruptive events that have occurred on the Kingsport.
- Captain William Ambrose Tallmadge is the Captain of the Kingsport. His father is Atlantean while his mother is from Avalon, the island that Donlow is located on. His main concern is keeping the Kingsport up and the directors off of his back while making sure the guests are content.
- Common threats to the Kingsport include skypirates, griffons, and the occasional dragon that still dwells on Luerth (there are one or two). The more common troubles include ornery staff, not enough champagne for the reception, guest mischief, on-board heists, and eldritch rituals.
