  • Caleb is a partner in the tavern business located on Greytucket within the Imperial Expansion. Like a lot of residents of the Expansion, Caleb's money only gives him so much access to the world without magical powers that are required to advance in the Magocracy of Ilysium. When he is not in town on business, Caleb fancies himself a game hunter on other planets in the Expansion.
  • Has eyes for Mrs. Heather Sorrell's sister, Sesily Sorrell, although he is loath to admit it. He wants to keep his mind on business, although he can be jealous if he saw Sesily with another man.
  • Currently trying to protect his tavern, The Blackbird Tap, from being raided by local criminal toughs who are trying to break the tavern owners and pay protection to their gang. Imperial authorities are apathetic to the perils of the Greytucket citizenry, just as long as there isn't a riot.
