Notes 

• Josephine 'Jo' Early is a Human Bard and a rebel against the Empire of Ilysium that currently controls her home planet within what is known as the 'Imperial Expansion' a number of planets occupied by the Empire that oppresses non-Humans, those who lack magical power, and finally those who were not born on the homeplanet of Ilysium. Jo could rise to a certain degree with her Bardic magic, but she fights for freedom.
• Is a dancer and works out of a club of ill repute, The Hummingbird, also known as 'The Nest.' She is part of a group of 'Hummingbird Girls' who try to assist major resistance cells and cause other mischief in the area. In addition to her girls, Jo relies on other allies such as club goers, staff, and locals from her neighborhood like that Ratfolk Artificer, Lat Arolagen for support.
• Currently sheltering her brother, Malcolm Early, who has recently assault and possibly killed a factory foreman who was working under an Ilysium nobleman. There is now a price on Malcolm's head and the Hummingbird Girls need to get him off planet until the matter dies down.
