Notes
- Victor Nairn is the lead constable investigating the death of Mister Harold Frick, a factory foreman with ties to House Ash. The foreman was found stabbed to death near the armaments factory that he controlled and it is believed to have been done by rebels operating on the planet and around the Gallows Corner neighborhood.
- Nairn is a native to the planet, but as a constable he is sworn to uphold the Queen's Justice and the justice of the Empire. A role that has earned him few friends from the locals. He is also looked both down and upon and with a sense of suspicion by the higher ups of the planet's security, men who are immigrants from Ilysium, fulfilling their tours of duty by managing the City. Nairn's few friends are his fellow 'turncoat' locals who have taken on the roles as guardsmen and constables.
- Has evidence that Harold Frick was a terrible man, committing abuses against his employees. He also has reasons to believe the assassin is one of the members of the Early clan, possibly Malcolm, maybe Josephine who helps run the Hummingbird Corner Club and leads the Hummingbird Girls.
